Edinburgh-based Adabotics returned successfully from the second heat of the Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition 2018. The artificial intelligence and robotics project won second prize in the United Kingdom heats, against 180 rival companies.

Edinburgh-based Adabotics returned successfully from the second heat of the Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship International Competition 2018. The artificial intelligence and robotics project won second prize in the United Kingdom heats, against 180 rival companies.

The team also won the third prize in the advanced manufacturing finals on April 10, 2018 in Shenzhen, against over 100 teams from eight different countries including the UK, the US, Germany, Japan, and Australia.

Adabotics develops robotics technology for mobile manipulation with applications in both industry and R&D. They have received support from the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, Edinburgh-Shenzhen Creative Exchange and the Edinburgh-based Doctorate Association. The team will explore further opportunities for Edinburgh-Shenzhen collaboration on advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
