About us
Doctorate Association was founded in 2013 with the support of the Chinese Consulate General in Edinburgh and the City of Edinburgh Council. Headquartered at the City of Edinburgh Council, it also has branches in the UK, China, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands and Japan. The Association has more than 5,000 members, primarily professors, doctoral researchers and senior executives from leading universities worldwide, spanning STEM, medicine, agriculture and the social sciences.
Doctorate Association is an independent non-profit organisation that helps members adapt to study, life and work abroad. It is also a global platform for international doctoral students and scholars to engage with local communities. We provide professional services in academia, entrepreneurship, career development and cross-cultural exchange, and aim to offer a diverse cultural hub for members from different communities.
Guided by a talent-first mission, we advance exchange and collaboration among doctors, scholars and senior professionals worldwide; build global talent platforms for governments, enterprises, universities and research institutes; and help bring frontier science and future industries into practice.
